Global Pyramid Building Tradition

Pyramids or stepped pyramidal structures appear in virtually every ancient civilization: Egypt (Giza, Saqqara, Dahshur), Mexico (Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza, Palenque), Guatemala (Tikal), Peru (Caral, Moche), Sudan (Meroë — 200+ pyramids), China (Xi'an — 100+ pyramids), Indonesia (Gunung Padang, possibly 20,000+ years old), Bosnia (controversial Visoko pyramids), Sardinia (Monte d'Accoddi), Cambodia (temple mountains of Angkor), and Iraq (ziggurats of Mesopotamia). While mainstream archaeology attributes this to convergent architectural solutions, the precision and astronomical alignments shared across these structures suggest either a common ancestral knowledge source or an unknown mechanism of cultural transmission across supposedly isolated civilizations.
