Satellite Pyramids as Passive Acoustic Tuning Elements

REINTERPRETATION: The Six Satellite Pyramids of Giza

The Giza Plateau contains six small satellite (queens') pyramids — three associated with Khufu (G1a, G1b, G1c on the east side) and three associated with Menkaure (G3a, G3b, G3c on the south side).

CRITICAL OBSERVATION: None of these pyramids contain star shafts. None contain grand galleries. None contain the complex internal geometry of the main pyramids. They are structurally simple: solid/near-solid limestone masses with at most a single small chamber.

PREVIOUS INTERPRETATION: "Backup transceivers" or "miniature processing units" — but this makes no physical sense. Without shafts, galleries, or multi-chamber architectures, they cannot perform the same functions as the main pyramids.

CORRECTED INTERPRETATION: Passive acoustic tuning elements.

In electronics, bypass capacitors are small components placed near active processors. They don't process signals — they smooth out noise, absorb transient spikes, and stabilise the power delivery. Without them, processors malfunction due to power supply ripple.

The satellite pyramids serve the same function acoustically:

  1. FREQUENCY GAP FILLING: The main pyramids' chambers resonate at specific frequencies (5.2, 12.1, 65, 121Hz, etc.). There are gaps between these frequencies. The satellite pyramids, with their different masses and dimensions, have their own resonant frequencies that fill these gaps, creating more continuous broadband response.
  2. IMPEDANCE MATCHING: Each satellite sits at a specific distance from its parent pyramid. These distances correspond to quarter-wavelength or half-wavelength positions for specific frequencies in limestone (v ≈ 3500m/s). At these positions, they act as impedance transformers between the pyramid and the open bedrock.
  3. ANTI-RESONANCE SUPPRESSION: Certain frequencies could create destructive interference patterns in the bedrock that would cancel useful energy. Satellite pyramids at calculated positions absorb these specific frequencies, preventing destructive modes.
  4. SPATIAL FILTERING: The arrangement of satellites around the main pyramids creates a spatial frequency filter — they define which directions acoustic energy preferentially propagates in the bedrock.

EVIDENCE: The three Khufu satellites are on the EAST side (toward the Nile/causeways), consistent with tuning the east-west energy pathway. The three Menkaure satellites are on the SOUTH side, consistent with tuning the south-north coupling between Menkaure and the Khufu-Khafre pair.

Their simplicity is the point. They are passive. They don't need internal complexity — their mass, dimensions, and position relative to the main pyramids ARE their function.
