NDE REUNION EVIDENCE: Meeting Deceased Loved Ones

UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA — 550+ NDE cases studied:

• 29% of NDErs encounter deceased loved ones
• Blood relatives = 25.9% of all beings encountered
• Communication is TELEPATHIC — direct knowing, not verbal
• Experience described as MORE intimate than physical communication
• Reunions described as the most joyful experience of the entire NDE

NATURE OF COMMUNICATION (across thousands of accounts):

• No words needed — pure thought transfer
• Complete understanding — emotions, intentions, and love experienced simultaneously
• More vivid, more "real" than any earthly conversation
• Unconditional love radiates from both sides
• 12% of NDE subjects maintained regular contact with beings encountered during NDE, some 10+ years later

"PEAK IN DARIEN" CASES (most evidential):

• People meet deceased relatives they DIDN'T KNOW HAD DIED — later verified
• People meet relatives they NEVER MET IN LIFE (grandparents who died before they were born) — later identified from photographs
• 138 cases (21%) in one study of 665 NDEs involved meetings with deceased persons
• UVA researchers: "some of the most persuasive evidence for the survival of consciousness after bodily death"

If encounters were hallucinations based on expectation, people would only see those they EXPECT to see. Meeting someone you didn't know was dead — and having that verified — cannot be explained by expectation. These cases strongly support the survival hypothesis: consciousness persists, and the dead are accessible to the dying.
