Theorized discredited starter Sirius / local stellar neighborhood

Sirius may be a LIGHTHOUSE not a destination — brightest star = most recognizable address in local space

Full Description

Sirius is the brightest star visible from Earth (apparent magnitude -1.46) and the closest A-type star at 8.6 light-years. Any signal directed toward Sirius would be recognizable to any civilization within 100+ light-years as "coming from near the brightest star in that sector." This makes Sirius the optimal ADDRESSING marker, not necessarily the intended recipient. The signal continues past Sirius into deeper space. The Egyptians may have understood Sirius as a cosmic lighthouse — a navigational beacon that makes Earth's transmissions identifiable to anyone listening, anywhere in the stellar neighborhood.
