Full Description

Neurofeedback studies (Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2021) prove that experienced meditators can voluntarily control their brainwave patterns and resist external stimulation. Both novice and experienced meditators successfully modulated posterior cingulate cortex activity through intentional attention strategies, with experienced practitioners showing especially strong control. This means neural self-regulation, achievable through meditation training, provides a defense against unwanted entrainment. Implication: the ancient priesthood may have undergone meditation/concentration training specifically to MAINTAIN AWARENESS while others in the chamber entered trance — giving them asymmetric control not just through acoustic advantage (the coffer) but through trained neural resistance.
