This implies the Egyptians understood that the heart (soul pattern) RECORDS everything — every action, every moral choice — and that during the Weighing (life review), this record would be revealed. The spell is an attempt to suppress testimony. Under our framework: the soul pattern contains the full record of actions and their consequences.
