Full Description

Dunbar's number (~150) predicts the maximum cohesive social group achievable through conscious social tracking. Yet multiple pyramid civilizations maintained cohesive populations far exceeding this: Caral ~5,000 (1,000 years of peace, no warfare evidence), Teotihuacan ~200,000 (collective governance, no identified ruler), Giza ~500,000 (coordinated construction crews of 25,000). Phase-locked brainwave entrainment bypasses the neocortical bottleneck by operating at the subcortical level, extending effective social coordination from 150 to 500,000+ — the same mechanism that allows thousands of heart cells to beat in synchrony without conscious coordination.
