GPR Detects Rectangular Anomaly Beneath the Sphinx's Paws
Detailed Account
Geologist Robert Schoch and geophysicist Thomas Dobecki conduct ground-penetrating radar surveys beneath the Great Sphinx. They detect a rectangular anomaly (~12m x 15m) at a depth of approximately 5 meters beneath the front paws. The rectangular shape is inconsistent with natural geological formations and is consistent with the 'Hall of Records' tradition described by Arab historians and Edgar Cayce.
